This weeks race brought the NL.LFS.3 pack to Aston for a 54 laps race at the Club configuration. The tactics involved in this race proved an excellent ground for a succesfull event for RDR. Michiel Jagersma grabbed top spot, Bob van Vliet came in second, this meant the second 1-2 in the short history for RDR! And another podium for RDR in server two where Martin Elberts finished in third position! As a result, RDR is doing great in the standings. Both 'RDR Red' drivers and Johnny Koning are close together in the individual standings. As a team, 'RDR Red' leads by quite a margin and is determined to keep it that way in the remainder of the season!

Because of his activities for the upcoming elections in the Netherlands, Bob van Vliet used a special scheme for this event
As the NL.LFS.3 organisation penaltized the use of the faster FZR by means of a mandatory pitstop opposed to the XRR and FXR, the tactics played a major role in this race. During testing, the 'RDR Red' team found the FZR despite the mandatory pitstop the best option. Martin Elbers and Jeroen Lemans both opted for the FXR.
The qualification went well for RDR, Michiel Jagersma took pole position, just in front of Ramon Blauwhoff and Bob van Vliet. Martin Elberts did his best to qualify on server 1 but just missed it, he qualified third in server 2. Jeroen Lemans took the 8th spot in server 2.
The good qualifying results meant an excellent base for the race and were in line with the tactics; extending the gap to the cars which wouldn't have to pit. Ramon Blauwhoff took the lead in the first lap, but was overtaken in lap 5 by both 'RDR Red' drivers. They then could put down some fast laps and increased the lead. Bob van Vliet had to come in in the lap 30, losing positions to René van der Kooi and Johnny Koning. Michiel Jagersma went in 5 laps later and kept the lead by around 5 seconds. In the remainder of the race, Bob van Vliet managed to pass both René and Johnny to finish second behind racewinner Michiel Jagersma.

Lap 5, Michiel Jagersma takes the lead, Bob van Vliet takes second place shortly after
On server two, the crowd saw a great start of Jeroen Lemans, gaining three positions from his 8th starting position. Martin Elberts took it easy in turn 1, holding on to his third position. In the beginning of the race he could fight with Henry van Arem for second position but had to let both frontrunners go to finish third ultimately in a somehow boring race for him. Jeroen's race was packed with action, great fights with Johan Kregel, but an engine problem made an end to his race.

The pack in lap 1 on server 2 with both RDR drivers on P3 and P5!
